Connect Group Menu (Fall 2025)
The first part of our Connect Group Semester will be a 8 week series on the seven deadly sins, following the Sunday morning series from the stage. You can find that content here: Seven Deadly Sins Series
For the second part of the Fall 2025 semester, we have four menu options to pick from:
Fasting Practice
(4 Weeks)
Scripture Practice
(4 Weeks)
Book of Haggai
(4 Weeks)
Book of Philemon
(3 Weeks)
A number of our groups went through this lesson last semester, and given the great response we wanted to offer it again to anyone who didn’t get a chance to and wanted to give it a try. In this study, you’ll be looking at the ancient and forgotten practice of fasting, learning why people do it, what benefits it has for us spiritual and physically, and how it can take our awareness of the presence of God to a whole new level.
The Fasting Practice
(4 Weeks)
We all believe that scripture is vital for the life of a believer, that it is where God shares with us His thoughts, and that it is useful for us even today; but we can also say we don’t engage with it to the level we should given those claims. Over 4 weeks, your group will take on the practice of reading scripture, reflecting on it, and discussing it with your group, so we can all grow into being people more deeply rooted in God’s word.
The Scripture Practice
(4 Weeks)
Haggai was a man who prophesied to the Israelites after their return home from their exile in Babylon. As the people worked to rebuild their lives, homes, and culture, they neglected to rebuild the most important structure for their people, the temple. Haggai’s words from God are a loving call to the people to remember the importance of the mission God had called them and their ancestors to, and that call rings out to us today in a new way. While God no longer desires a physical temple, He does desire for His new temple, the body of believers, to be built up. In this series, you will explore what the call to join God in the building of His temple looks like for us here on the other side of the cross.
The Book of Haggai
(4 Weeks)
Near the end of the Bible is the one-paged book of Philemon. While this book is short, sweet, and can be read in a few minutes, it carries a heavy impact for those who will sit with it for longer. In this study you will look at the three major players in the book: Paul, Onesimus, and Philemon; and the Gospel themes that they each embody as we understand what it looks like to seek reconciliation, give grace, and speak truth.
